My name is Samer Bawab, and I am a entrepreneur, sales executive, photographer, dog lover, artist, world traveler, blogger, music junkie, and foodie. I am also a 1st generation born American with a fraternal twin (Leroy) who is 5 minutes older than me, and a older brother (Omar) who is 33.
My father first came to the U.S in the 1970’s from Beirut Lebanon to study pharmacy at Ohio Northern (Go Polar Bears!). During a school break, my dad traveled to Paris, France with his friends. While there, he met my mom who was traveling from Budapest, Hungary and was in the same cafe’ as him. Long be hold, they ended up connecting and spending time together. After he returned from his trip, he wrote letters to my mom and eventually asked her to move to the U.S and live with him in Cleveland, OH after graduating from Ohio Northern. My father then opened up several pharmacy locations across the greater Cleveland area, where he began our family. After working several years of running the pharmacy business, he decided to start a telecommunications company called Cellular One in Texas which would end up getting sold and eventually starting Pager One in West Palm Beach Florida. This was during a time when everybody was buying and using pagers.
To add, I grew up in a east side suburb Cleveland called Pepper Pike, and attended Orange High School. After graduating in 2006, I enrolled into Cleveland State University, where I studied Political Science and earned a 4.0 GPA. After a year at CSU, I decided to transfer to Ohio University where I completed my Bachelor’s degree from the College of Business with a focus in Marketing. After attending a career on campus during the fall of 2011, I landed a job at a tech company in Michigan and eventually spent over 6 years working for two different tech companies as a New Business Development Manager. I now live Beirut, Lebanon and work as a Senior Consultant. Some other cool things about me include my ability to speak fluent Hungarian, since my mom taught the language to me growing up and spending a great deal of time together. I am also left handed, and some people say I kinda look like a young version of Charlie Sheen, or John Mayer.
To add, I first got bit by the live music bug back in 2003 when I was 16 years old, when I drove down to Germain Amphitheater in Columbus, OH with my two brothers and saw Bob Dylan and The Dead perform. My mind was completely blown with the things I saw, and the amount of positive energy that emitted from everyone around me. This was my first exposure to the “jam” scene and I fell in love right away. I also love spending time outdoors hiking, running and exploring the Midwest, U.S and globe. I also always thought photography was a perfect channel to express my art and creativity!
This is my first website and the reason that I created it was so the world to get to know who I am, as well as showcase some of my talents which include a large collection of high quality photos taken over the last 10 years or so. Photography has always been a huge passion of mine and I want to share my positive vibes with the world!
